Civil society efforts for urban renewal
Working to improve our environs lies at the core of our vision. We take up projects that focus on regeneration of urban spaces. We have a passion for heritage conservation and adopt community led approaches for upgrading projects.
The Qudsia Bagh Welfare Society has worked towards re-developing Qudsia Bagh, a twenty acre Mughal-era park in Civil Lines, Delhi. A civil society effort, spearheaded by our Founders, to transform the park from being unsafe for local residents to a haven where they can come to escape the noise of the city.
The effort also included restoration of heritage monuments within the park including Haathi Gate and Summer Lodge by ASI National Chapter and ASI Delhi Chapter with support from Government of Delhi. The Society worked to bring together multiple stakeholders towards this objective.
